Alright, so I need to square myself away and contribute to my blog more, but in my defense I've been very busy and a lot is going on so lets begin!
In a few days I'll be turning the big two-nine, hard to imagine I've been on the Earth THAT long; I'm truly blessed to be alive and well! This is going to be extremely corny but I recently heard someone say to me, "it isn't the destination, it's the journey along the way" and it got me thinking about my own journey.
If you don't know my story, I was born in an oil refinery just outside of Whiting, Indiana (just kidding), but I was born with a hole in my heart, fortunately it closed up on it's own. My journey, thus far, has been an exciting one. My family and friends have helped me along the way, perhaps more than they'll ever know. I've met some pretty interesting people along the way too; both during my military service and my hiatus while in college!
This one time, in Sanford, North Carolina, there was this bartender... and yadda, yadda, yadda!
All kidding aside, I'm looking forward to celebrating with friends later this week!
So, getting back to that recap...
I decided to make SeaCoast permenant and I couldn't be happier. There's a real sense of community among everyone there and the fellowships are helping me get out of my comfort zone and live a fuller and richer life. I just think its amazing that I thought I knew what happiness was before I started pursuing a relationship with God. I'm glad I've got the right priorities back!
How Art Thou? Joshua!
